My Brother the Islmaist has been nominated for Best Single Doc at Televisual’s Bulldog awards!

Televisual‘s Bulldogs are your chance to have your say about the best British programmes of 2011.

Rather than being voted for by a small group of the great and the good, the Bulldogs are voted for by the entire UK production community. And that means you. And, as an added incentive for you to vote, we’ll pick three lucky voters out of the hat who’ll each receive one of three fantastic Sony prizes, including a 40″ Sony LCD internet ready TV.

It’s a great honour to see My Brother the Islamist nominated for yet another prestigious award, and what makes this one ever more special, is that the winners are chosen by you guys!

Please take a few minutes to cast your votes BULLDOG AWARDS 2012

My Brother the Islamist was awarded highly commended as it narrowly lost out to the well deserving Panorama- Undercover Care: The Abuse Exposed, at the 2012 Broadcast award ceromony last night.

My Brother The Islamist
Grace Productions for BBC Three
The judges couldn’t speak highly enough about the work of film-maker Robb Leach, praising its incredible access and insight. Said one: “I was sucked into its freshness, honesty and originality. It had strong appeal for a young audience but I couldn’t switch it off either.” It narrowly missed the top prize and is a worthy Highly Commended.

The Best Documentary category was one of the most highly contested (Terry Pratchett: Choosing to Die, Sri Lanka’s Killing Fields, Undercover Care, For Neda, Poor Kids) so it was really special to know how close we came to being awarded the Best Doc gong.
